15/365 Sue
Before Sue, had I ever felt such joy at table? She expertly midwifes love through food, wine, and those she brings together for the feast. From the moment we sit down, we are family at home. Thou preparest a table . . . my cup runneth over.

Perfect description of the kind of hostess I always aspired to be. (And no, everyone, I'm not Sue. I've trained everyone to call me Susan or Suze. Occasionally Susie.) :-)
This reminds me of that Virginia Woolf quote: “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well."
Yeah. My sister, and now her daughter following in her footsteps, have this quality. I, on the other hand, tend to jump up at dessert time, and say "Oh, I forgot to serve the garlic bread/ salad..."
I am the Queen of Hostess Anxiety myself. But I was in my mid- or late twenties before I even knew this could happen in someone's home...
