173/365 Ingrid

Though he’d left BFW four years before, Tim got the news almost immediately that former colleague Ingrid had been on SwissAir 111. She’d moved on too, to UNICEF, and that night had been heading to a meeting in Geneva. Anyone who’d known her mourned.

I've been watching for this post. I read once that some of the relatives who later gathered at Peggy's Cove said they found some comfort their loved ones died in such a beautiful place. Now I can tell you (and Tim) first-hand that it really is.

MM: Thanks. This is one of those what-can-you-really-say posts. When I went to Nova Scotia, I didn't make it to Peggy's Cove. Tim and I will have to go there someday. So glad you were there to take in its beauty.

If you follow the SwissAir link to the passenger list, there's actually a link to Ingrid near the top, and a photo of her--in formal attire at a function with Hillary Clinton.

I can't believe I didn't know that Ingrid was among the passengers. (I'm guessing someone told me, but it certainly never sank in, and I'm sitting here in shock.)

I thought you left Bread before she started there and hadn't known her... my memory is having that conversation right after she died. But my memory cannot always be trusted.
