329/365 Tasha,

in the market for a new godmother, thinks a grueling, 10-day Survivor-like competition is the way to go (annual income also considered). As the candidates, her “aunties,” drag deeply, she mentions her memoir’s working title: The Smell of Cigarette Smoke Reminds Me of Home.

It's terribly evocative, but I want some more information! Is she going to kick the losing auntie off the island? And how will they compete?

There used to be four (I think; not sure how to count) aunties, but two, including the godmother, have completely disappeared. The losing auntie candidate may be kicked off the island, but certainly not out of Tasha's life. She just won't get the godmother title. (I don't know all the competitions Tasha has in mind, although I suggested mud wrestling.)
