Inspired by Fat Red Ant, who was inspired by Dan Waber, I am taking up the challenge to write about 365 memorable people whose paths have crossed mine. The form is 44 words, in honor of the number of years spent running into them.

357/365 A Third Brian
In, like, sixth grade, his family went on a skiing vacation. This stunned me, as I (a) didn’t know I knew anyone who could ski and (b) hadn’t considered skiing a family activity. Inconceivable! I had so much to learn about the upper class.
Oh, this is perfect! I felt the same way when I visited friends of friends on Christmas night and they were having Roast Beef instead of Turkey and they had wine!
You're getting rather close to 365 yourself! Do you worry that you've left out someone absolutely unforgettable? I still do...
ReplyDeleteYou think we're all the same...and then it turns out they ski.
ReplyDeletesusan: there are too many...I know I will leave some out, and probably for the best.
Oh my gosh, you'll be finished before the end of the month; that's amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy last day is January 31, if I can just manage 8 more on-time entries! And Susan, it's astonishing how many people I have not written about.
ReplyDeleteMe too I.B.

ReplyDeleteThe end of innocence ... I loved this!
