He, too, has an aplodontia look about him, not unlike that Kate. At my luckiest, I’m seated on a stool next to him at 1811 House, sipping single malt, bemoaning the state of the world but celebrating friendships and faith in the mountain beaver.

Are these official meetings of the Aplodontia Society? I seem to remember that you would meet in pubs from time to time.
Yes, indeed. And really, we only meet at this particular pub (or occasionally on a trout stream). But, shhhh! It's a secret society!
What a beautiful place to kick back and have a brew. I wonder though do you and Stan ever stray off topic and talk about other things that bring you faith?
Otter: I'd say yes, if you give the word faith some leeway. An interesting note: Stan has a brother who's a missionary in the Czech Republic.
