299/365 A Fourth Chris
was the only one of Paul’s “and guests” who had the slightest bit of homophobia, and of course that meant that she was the only one who got hit on at the gay bar in Schaumberg. She was dying to get out of Elgin.
Inspired by Fat Red Ant, who was inspired by Dan Waber, I am taking up the challenge to write about 365 memorable people whose paths have crossed mine. The form is 44 words, in honor of the number of years spent running into them.

A gay bar in Schamburg?
Now that's quite an ironic image.
It was the mid-80s. Maybe it's different now. I've never been back to Schaumberg ...
According to the series Rosanne, it was Elgin with the gay bar!
How cool to see Elgin pop up in your posts. (even if it was a place to flee)
Cedar: It probably was Elgin by the time Roseanne was on! My time there was a one-year stint, and I really liked it. Chris had grown up there, I think, was 25ish, and needed a change. (And I had to mention Elgin for you at some point, didn't I? Actually, I did a little Elgin-related run in posts 38-47. Plus Paul, of course.)
