Imagine his face upon realizing that not only had
Susan gotten him to the Sonoran Desert for
his birthday, but that it was really
my birthday party, so determined was I to spend sunset with saguaros then hot-tub with friends under crazy desert stars.
Saguaros look sufficiently humanoid though that you could probably stick some of them in a hot tub (making sure not to stick yourself in the process) and enjoy both the sunset and hot-tubbing with friends experiences.
ReplyDeleteThe unanswered question: was it nekkid hot-tubbing?
ReplyDeleteWhat are saguaros?
ReplyDeleteSY: I can't remember if it was nekkid. That may mean it wasn't. May.
ReplyDeleteHelen: Great idea! But I'd have to watch bein' nekkid fer sher.
Ah, simultaneous post, Mali. Saguaros are cacti. Here's a link:

So, was he disappointed?
ReplyDeleteBridgett: No, he was thrilled (or at least seemed so). We have the same birthday, and I'd booked the whole B&B (four rooms). His wife got my invitation first, and she asked for us to keep it a secret so she could surprise him with it. He didn't even know which state he was headed to til they got on the plane.
ReplyDeleteHow cool every way you look at it, nekkid or not!
ReplyDeletefabulous way to have a birthday! Saguaros and all
