183/365 Ursula

I can’t fathom her life as mother of six before she and Linda left Montana for Vermont. They tell the stories of pioneer women, in books and storied lecture. Ursula’s an editor, like me. There are many reasons to want to be like her.

The children not being one of them.

I adore them both, but I think I adore Ursula more.

Correct, the children not being one of them for me. But even though I've known her only after her children have grown up, and therefore they are theoretical in my world, I am sure she was a fabulous mom. And all the qualities that I think would make her a fabulous mom are also ones worth aspiring to, children or no!

So many of your posts are like little clues about people we don't know. Instead of portraits, they're like puzzles with a bunch of pieces left out, and that makes them all the more intriguing.

D: I wonder if—especially because I'm introverted—all people are puzzles I don't really know.
