131/365 Alexandra

loves the flashing rings I pass out at Christmas, their squeezy on-and-offness. Hers is pink, but she needs a yellow one for her friend. She promises to keep it in its wrapper, but on the ride to church, it somehow escapes that crinkly prison.

I gave one to my young niece, who immediately set to work obliterating the rubber encasement to get to the flickering light within it.

Damn, you're right. I should probably have said "daughter of my nephew and his wife." That way there is no ambiguity whatsoever.

Said daughter, by the way, is the subject of Monday's 365.
