281/365 Joanne

asks me to fold my ballot once more before I push it into the box. Turnout’s been high, the day’s not halfway done, and thrice-folded ballots have been easier to shove further down with a ruler. I return the pencil on my way out.

And with this kind of paper ballot there are no "chad" issues!

I know it likely won't last forever, but I absolutely love being able to vote with paper and pencil here.

I loved voting with paper and pencil in Vermont, too. A nice communal feel, with the JPs counting the votes afterward, and the results spreading by word of mouth faster than via the more official channels. Down here we have paper ballots, at least, but you make black dots on it and slip it into an optical scanner.

We still use the old-fashioned "X marks the spot" method up here in the far North.

The fate of your nation was resting on your shoulders, Indigo, and you rose to the occasion.

I love Vermont's voting diversity. You all elected a Republican governor, a Democrat representative, and a Socialist senator!
