Inspired by Fat Red Ant, who was inspired by Dan Waber, I am taking up the challenge to write about 365 memorable people whose paths have crossed mine. The form is 44 words, in honor of the number of years spent running into them.

140/365 Ann
Mark’s holiday party on the fifteenth anniversary of Lennon’s death meant tight security at the Dakota. After, Ali and I split a cab to the East Side with Ann: friendly, funny, ferociously skinny. Who knew what a conservative pundit she’d turn out to be?

Were you introduced to her, or did you simply remember her face once she became (in)famous?
She and Alison were acquainted through Mark. So yes, introduced. (And probably reminded by Alison once the publishing started.)
What is it with these blonde right-wing chicks who like to wear black leather?
Yeah. What's up with that?
I bet they don't go bird-watching. I hope when the ice-caps melt the polar bears pay them a visit.
